Today’s walk: from Näfels-Mollis station, up to Obersee, further up over Längeneggpass, and then down to the head of Klöntalarsee. 20km horizontally, 1489m climb (but only 817m descent). 1489m is, by the way, 1.1 Ben Nevises.

I got off the train at the station at 0930, and got to Richisau at Klöntalarsee at 1500, making the total time five and a half hours (including lunch break). The map says 7h10. I think I’m finally fit. Can I stop now?

Obersee, with the peak of Brünellisock in the background. It's not climbable by mortals but parts of the ridgeline are accessible.

From up on the top of the pass, looking back along the valley. Obersee is round the corner to the right. Brünnelistock, seen from the side, is the rightmost of the closer summits.

High (well, 1700m) alpine meadows on the south side of the pass.

The closer ridgeline blocks views of the Klöntalarsee from here, but the 2km wall of Glärnisch dominates the view to the south.

Yeah. Glärnisch. Big.
