Today’s walk, up behind Klöntalarsee up towards Chäseren. Nothing particularly exciting distance- or altitude-wise, but extremely pleasant anyway.

It was bloody hot.

Map link with the route on it.

Looking down at Klöntalarsee.

The village at Chäseren, with the little pub where we had a rather good grilled chicken salad.

Up above Chäseren, in the cirque at Werben. You can continue on to Glärnischhutte, another 600m up. (It should be visible in this photo, but sadly my hand shook and it's slightly blurred.) The peak on the left is probably Gross Fürberg, at 2600m. There's a glacier up there.

Looking back down the other way. The river is the Rossmatterklön. The other side of the valley is a mere 2000m up.

Across the valley at the beginning of the series of passes across to Braunwald; 5-6 hours, but only another 1000m up. One day, one day...

Down at the bottom of the valley looking at the walk out. It's only about ¾ of an hour, but very hot.
