Beginning a series of regular (if belated) posts, because I have totally not been updating my website.

Today was the first decent walk of the season --- I was waiting until the snow melted. Innerthal to (the top of) Niederurnen; 906m vertical, 15km horizontal, behind Bockmattlistock and then over the ridge at Wageten. There were some knife-edge cliffs (just a grassy hem and a kilometre of air), and the descent at Wageten is 500 vertical metres in 700 horizontal metres which involved some very careful muddy scrambling.

Wägitalersee was cloudy and overcast, and Bockmattlistock had its head in the clouds, but it cleared up later. It's a decent trip; need to try it on visitors.

Here is a map link to the route.
