I recently came into the possession of a couple of Psion 3a organisers; 8086-based handheld computers from about 1995. Really interesting devices, except one of them had a broken screen. As the working one had less memory than the broken one, I swapped motherboards (successfully!). And I did it on video.
Production notes: I’ve switched from a Nexus 5 to a Nexus 5X as the camera. I think the video quality’s better, although it has a wider field of view so I needed to zoom in a bit. Unfortunately I placed the microphone in the wrong place; it’s a condenser microphone with a very directional pickup, and I came out very boomy. I had to do massive equaliser correction in Audacity afterwards, which is why it wounds a bit weird.
